We’re back with the penultimate episode of Coffee Break Italian Season 3! In this chapter of our story series “Il tesoro di Montespelonca” after making it to the cave, Alessandro and his friends decide to confront the person they believe is stealing the treasure hidden. Meanwhile, a terrible storm is flooding the cave. Will our protagonists manage to save themselves and the treasure? This episode will help you consolidate your knowledge of hypothetical clauses and the formal imperative. There is also some exciting vocabulary to discover, including the famous adverb mica and an Italian proverb on rain: cielo a pecorelle, pioggia a catinelle.

In this episode listen out for a different way to emphasise adjectives in German and the apt idiom über den Berg sein.
CBP 1.09 | Talking about language – Useful phrases in Portuguese
We’ve reached lesson nine of Coffee Break Portuguese – the series that will teach you Portuguese right from the beginning. In this lesson we’re talking about something which is very important to us here at Coffee Break Languages … and that is language! We’ll be learning some helpful phrases that you can use to express that you don’t understand something, as well as how to talk about the languages you speak. We’ll also be doing some more verb conjugations of regular verbs and we’ll be joined by Catarina, in today’s Cafezinho, to learn more about the Portuguese language. Vamos lá!
