Season 2 – Lesson 36 – Coffee Break Spanish

We’re returning to another episode featuring María-José and Andrew this week in which María-José will ask the question ¿Qué estás haciendo?, ‘What are you doing?’. We’re focusing on the present continuous tense. Please note that lesson 36 of Season 2 was originally known as lesson 236 of Coffee Break Spanish. We have renumbered the lessons of each season as lessons 1-40 to make things more simple for our listeners.

  1. I just want to say that Coffee Break Spanish has been the most amazing foreign language learning tool. I struggled with French and Latin in school, and I had tried a couple of times to learn Spanish from computer programs, but with no success. But Mark presents the material so clearly, learning with Kara creates a classroom environment, and Mark and Kara have such a wonderful chemistry. Coffee Break Spanish has been a lot of fun, and I think that has kept me motivated and tuned in. With Coffee Break Spanish, I have learned more of a foreign language than ever before in my life. Thank you both, Mark & Kara, for this enriching experience!

  2. My husband downloaded all the Coffee Break Spanish lessons onto my daughter’s old MP3 player for me at Christmas. We have an apartment in Sucina, and fly to San Javier regularly. We know Santiago de la Ribera, and the Dos Mares shopping Mall!! How amazing are you! I am truly hooked and we have just got back from Spain. I spoke to everyone I met, much to my husband’s annoyance. One problem, we had to report a theft..when we finally located the Police station, I managed to make myself understood, and got a report written for our insurance company. I even got the insurance company to understand me!For the life of me I couldn’t find the word or pronunciation of’ police station’. Doing an impersonation of a police car was a bit embarassing. Maybe you could cover that before you finish? Looking forward to the last podcasts, then I’ll subscribe to the full works. Thanks again, Suzanne
