In this week’s episode, we continue the theme of shopping but this time in a market place. You’ll learn how to ask for different types and quantities of food and how to ask the price. Finally you can listen to a typical conversation in a market place and hear the words and phrases in context.

I hope someone can clear this up. In this lesson Mark refers to an orange in the masculine, ie: ‘un orange’. Everywhere on the web -google translate etc- and a French acquaintance of mine assures me it’s ‘une orange’.
Just a slip up or am I missing something?
Great pods, btw. Merci!
Now that I’ve reached lesson 26 I’ve noticed that as well. Anyways, it’s a great approach to French.
Craig,
You are right.
Orange as a fruit is feminin & orange as a color is masculine
Merci
Do you know where to find these notes with the tapescript of the dialogue? Thx.
Great, really helping me learn french. Thanks
I really enjoy these. Merci!
Thanks Mark and Anna! Catching up really fast. Please I have abit of a problem trying to discern two parts
One says ‘Je voudrais des tomates, Combien ……….
The second part says Vous avez du……………………….., voulez-vous gouter?
Merci!
