The story, and the Spanish
Each chapter builds your advanced vocabulary and your understanding of complex grammar, and puts your comprehension to the test.
Follow the story
Marta is shocked by what she finds in her father’s office, and sets out on a journey that will change her life and her family’s.
Build an advanced vocabulary
Every chapter comes with an annotated text, with detailed footnotes, and an alphabetical vocabulary list.
Work through complex grammar
Mark and Anabel go through each chapter in detail and explain the more complex grammatical constructions.
Understand a range of voices
Anabel reads the narrative chapters, and different voices play the characters in the dialogue chapters, so you get used to a variety of accents.
Who presents the course
Mark and Anabel present the course. Anabel, a native Spanish speaker, wrote La penúltima voluntad and is the main presenter in the audio and video lessons. Mark joins her for the language study of each chapter, where they discuss the language in detail and explain the complex grammar.
