What you’ll be able to do
Level 2 adds the tenses you need to talk about more of your life, and sorts out two pairs of words that often confuse learners.
Talk across past, present and future
Move between what you did, what you’re doing and what you’re going to do.
Choose the right word
Know when to use ser or estar, and por or para.
Describe people and things
Make adjectives agree, and say what someone or something is like.
Get things done in Spanish
Take public transport or a taxi, hire a car and make a phone call in Spanish.
The people in the lessons
Mark and Kara carry on where Level 1 left off. Mark explains, and Kara takes on the role of the learner, asking the questions and having a go, so you pick it up along with her.
If you’re coming back to Spanish after a long gap, you may remember more than you think, and this level helps you build on it.

Questions
What’s the difference between the course and the free podcast?
The free podcast is the audio of each lesson. The course adds the video lessons, lesson notes, quizzes and bonus audio, all without ads.
Is it the Spanish of Spain or Latin America?
The Spanish in the lessons is the Spanish of Spain, which is the Spanish Mark speaks. In each lesson he points out where Latin American Spanish is different, and explains the vocabulary and structures, so you’ll recognise both. Wherever you go in the Spanish-speaking world, you’ll be understood with the Spanish you learn in Coffee Break Spanish.
Is Level 2 right for me?
It’s for learners who’ve finished Level 1, or who are coming back to Spanish after some time. If you can follow the first free Level 2 episode, it’s a good fit.
Can I download the materials?
The videos stream online, and the lesson notes and audio download to your device.
How long do I have access?
For life. Pay once and it’s yours, across all of your devices.
When does it start and finish?
It starts the moment you join and has no end date. It’s self-paced, so you set the timeline.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. You can listen to the lessons free on the podcast. The course adds all the support that goes with them: a video of every lesson, full lesson notes and transcripts, quizzes and bonus audio.
