Is there a donwload link on the page
There’s no download link, but you can download the episode via the podcast feed in any podcast player or app, or you can stream the episode using the Acast player. Hope that helps.
Hi Mark,
I am excited to know now that you offer Coffee Break Chinese as well. Being a subscriber of your Coffee Break Spanish and French, I am very familiar with your program structure and would attempt to get my American husband to subscribe to it!
One comment I would like to make is one of the comments made by the Chinese instructor, Crystal, which is “mama huhu” or “horse horse tiger tiger”. She mentioned they don’t say this phrase very often. I was born and raised in Taiwan. I have to say we do say that very often. Knowing the sprawling geography and diverse dialects across Madarine speaking Chinese, you are bound to find many different versions and ways of saying the same language. Thank yoy for continuing to push the boundary by providing multiple languages learning opportunity.
Hi Phoebe. Thanks for your comment. It’s good to know that “mamahuhu” is recognised in Taiwan!
In Malaysia, I’ve never heard “mamahuhu” used in response to “how are you?” The occasions I’ve heard it in typically used the phrase to mean “apathetic” i.e. “why are you being so mamahuhu about the situation?” Always intriguing to see how the same language varies across the world!
This was pretty AWESOME.Looking forward tot he next episode! whats the frequency of release for the episodes?
The episodes are going out weekly. We’re just about to post episode 2 now.
Is there a list of words the podcast went over, so we can review these terms later?
