Introducing the Quest

Do you find phrasal verbs difficult?

Do you want to make your English more precise?

Do you want to sound more like a native speaker?

Do you like reading stories?

The Coffee Break English Phrasal Verbs Quest is for you!

Unlock the mystery of Phrasal Verbs!

Learn English can be difficult, especially when you come across Phrasal Verbs. These are combinations of words that, when put together, take on completely new meanings. Phrasal Verbs can often lead to misunderstandings, even for learners who have been studying English for years.

Here are some examples:

  • Turn up: this can mean making a sound louder or arriving somewhere unexpectedly.
  • Get over: this can mean feeling better after being sick or moving past a problem.
  • Take off: this can describe a plane starting its flight or someone running quickly.
  • Put out: this could mean stopping a fire or placing something outside.

You see? It can be confusing!

Some learners try to learn Phrasal Verbs by memorising a long list of words. This just doesn’t work. With the Coffee Break English Quest, you’ll build your confidence in using Phrasal Verbs by following a story and using our support materials to help you master this tricky aspect of English.

How does it work?

The 30-day challenge is split into 10 units of 3 days. Each unit focuses on one chapter of the story. You’ll take a different activity on each day and, best of all, you’ll spend just 10-15 minutes a day on learning! Pour yourself a cup of coffee and learn with Coffee Break English!
